Steel Toe Strength
Our Steel Toe Safety Cap provides maximum toe room for comfort and the ultimate in protection and ergonomic benefit. Structured steel cap is capable of withstanding over 2500 lbs. of compression and 75 lbs. of impact. All of our safety toe styles meet or exceed ASTM F2413-05 impact and compression specifications.

Composite Toe Technology (Ergolite)
Patented design of space age molded polymer composite technology combined with our unique ballistic mesh for additional strength. The weight of this toe is 1/3 less than a traditional steel toe. This protective shell is made of non-conductive material which does not transmit heat or cold or activate metal detectors. It is non-magnetic and static free. Our unique design dissipates impact and meets or exceeds ASTM F2413-05 specifications.

SD Type 1 Footwear
Our patent pending design meets SD Type I requirements for static dissipative footwear. To be marketed as Electric Static Dissipating Footwear, a shoe must pass testing requirements established by ASTM. Shoes can be classified as SD Type I or SD Type II. SD Type I must offer electrical resistance greater than 1, but less than 100 megohms. SD Type II offer electrical resistance greater than 1, but less than 1000 megohms. All Nautilus SD Type I products perform in the 2-10 megohm range required by sophisticated electronics industry companies. Please note that replacing the stock insole with insoles other than Nautilus Safety Footwear Static-Dissipating Anti-Fatigue Replacement Insoles could adversely affect or invalidate the SD properties of this footwear.

Electrical Hazard (EH) Footwear
Electrical hazard shoes are designed to protect the wearer from open electrical circuits of 600 volts or less under dry conditions. These shoes are secondary protection on surfaces that are substantially insulated. These shoes meet ASTM requirements. Caution: These shoes should not be worn in explosive or hazardous areas where conductive footwear is required.

Met-Guard Protection
The Nautilus Metatarsal Guard offers maximum flexibility, comfort and durability. The hinged construction and long-wearing toe wrap offer the ultimate in protection and wearability. Nautilus Met Guard meets or exceeds ASTM specifications.

Puncture Resistance
Puncture resistant footwear contains a midsole which is designed to reduce the hazards of puncture wounds caused by sharp objects penetrating the sole. All of our puncture resistant footwear meets the ASTM standards for puncture resistance.

Slip Resistance
Our interlock outsole has a tread design which channels water, oil and other slippery substances away from the outsole's hexagonal-shaped lugs to create a superior grip. Our beveled heel increases the heel surface area which maximizes traction while minimizing the chance of sliprelated injuries. While there are no government regulations currently creating slip resistant standards, all our slip resistant styles meet or exceed current industry recognized guidelines.
